About FITBOOK

FITBOOK is a service of Axel Springer SE and was launched in 2017 as an online magazine for health, fitness and nutrition. We report daily – competently, comprehensibly and independently.

Our goal, purpose and claim

FITBOOK aims to motivate people to lead a more active and healthier life. We offer orientation and classify news, studies and methods in the areas of health, fitness and nutrition in the current state of research. We focus on comprehensible, independent and high-quality journalism that is balanced and scientifically sound. FITBOOK is supported by a network of experts, doctors, athletes and scientists who advise us on content and review articles.

Our aim is to inform people in the fields of medicine, nutrition and sports science – seriously and based on scientific standards. We want to provide FITBOOK readers with the knowledge, context and background they need to optimize their health, prevent illness and meet the physical and mental demands of everyday life. We answer relevant questions and place them in the context of current research. With events such as the FITBOOK Move Jam, we also offer people the opportunity to actively engage with their health and fitness – be it during live training sessions with fitness trainers and athletes or in Q&A sessions with health and nutrition experts. However, we are aware that even a serious and competent health and fitness portal such as FITBOOK can never replace expert diagnosis and treatment by doctors, but can at best make a relevant contribution to information.

Quality assurance

In order to continuously optimize our portal, we regularly conduct user surveys and give our readers the opportunity to send us feedback by e-mail via info@fitbook.de. We are in regular contact with the experts at Axel Springer S.E. on the topics of SEO optimization and UX/UI to ensure that we meet the latest quality requirements.

Our target group

Our readers – from young adults to senior citizens – are interested in a more active and healthier life. They want independent and well-researched information on health, fitness and nutrition. The basis for this should always be the latest studies and scientifically proven findings. The prevention of diseases is the main focus.

How FITBOOK works: Our guidelines

The guidelines of journalistic independence remain unaffected by this.
